What is RSS

RSS is a really clever service which allows you to access and display ITI information delivered directly to you as it becomes available, rather than clicking through the site and searching.

RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication'. Put plainly, it allows you to identify the content you like and have it delivered directly to you.

It takes the hassle out of staying up-to-date, by delivering the information that you are interested in.

How do I start using RSS feeds?

All you need is a web browser which has RSS functionality or a RSS News Reader application. Once you have identified a suitable RSS feed, all you have to do is click the RSS icon.  As new information becomes available in your chosen areas on the ITI website it will automatically be accessible by clicking that icon in your browser/reader bar.

Some browsers, including Firefox, Opera and Safari, have functionality which automatically picks up RSS feeds for you. For more details on these, please check their websites.

How do I get a News Reader?

There are a range of different news readers available and new versions are appearing all the time.

Different readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to take this into account when you make your choice

If you are currently using Internet Explorer a good choice of reader is Feedreader, this would appear to be compatible with IE although we can not guarantee this as your system may differ from ours. You can download a free copy of Feedreader from here. If you are a Mac user RSS functionality is built into Safari v2.

What RSS feeds are currently available from ICE?
